(( to celebrate the gryvern's arrival here, there's going to be a little pet quest. ^^ enter with however many gryvern you'd like, tho i can't guarantee all will find one. . . at least one of your gryvern will, tho. ^^ ))
An air of excitement filled the plain, and the ranks of gryvern bustled with the same. Some notably personalities were there; one could easily spot Mozer and Casimir to the north with their friend Astafy swift on their heels. Samir stood amongst a group of hatchlings, looking well-pleased at his good-fortune to be mong them. The hunter had adopted a few swies to keep an eye on and a very skinny blue stood nearby, watching the others with silent, pale eyes.
There were many others in the throng, but all fell silent when the Tactician cleared his throat and turned his blind red eyes over the crowd. They quieted in respect for the smokey grey.
"Welcome to the Chaos Hills," came the quiet voice that was somehow audible to every ear. "We are grateful for this opportunity and pleased to host a Pet Quest. Within the magic-marked boundaries are a wide-variety of pets, especially one recently imported from our Home Reality. They haven't been seen in a long time, but we're glad to have them with us again. Be considerate whilst you search, and remember that certain creatures are here to watch and aid as needed." Draconic wings flared and whitish-blue mane and forelock tossed back as the Tactician went skyward. "The Quest has begun."
Cheers came from the crowd and they split to begin their search.
It was a wide area, but one could easily traipse it's length in just a few hours. Besides the central plain, a long river cut through the south-eastern corner of the search area. The river spilled down to the south into a large lack. To the west, a long swatch of heavy forests covered the land. North saw hills to the edge of a few mountains. And east was filled with a high-grassed plain.

Griksei grunted as he trudged determinedly towards the gathering, managing to arrive alittle bit before the announcement, although not as early as he had hoped... Apparently one little tsume mix had decided that he would bring her here... Then decided to stop at every single distraction along the way, rabbits... Flowers... Funny shaped rocks, it was amazing they arrived at all! Atleast he didn't have to deal with her from this point onwards. When the call came out he looked around to see if Katya had shown up, he was pretty sure she was going to meet him... Kletterei on the other hand was waaay over excited, she was going to get to go out on her OWN to catch something! She was sure that she could claim even the most horrible monster she'd find out there, and then prove that she... uh... was... Ok, well maybe this was just a warm up for her becoming an even stronger fighter than her dad, and atleast as good at hunting as her mom... Rei was more interested in the fighting thing though. And which way to go? Umm... She decided to follow the river south, towards the lake.

For Thal:
Katya was indeed there, frantically looking for Griksei among the multi-hued crowd. She couldn't seem to find him, however, and was currently hiding in a bush, golden eyes still frantically searching for the familiar deep violet hide. She popped up at one point, thinking she'd found him, but, no. . . that was a female that looked oddly like him, not Griksei himself. Her tail curled uncertainly around her body. Where was he?
The river was rather overgrown near the plain, but the brush and occasional tree cleared out as the river wound its way south. The river ran smoothly and rather swiftly down its bed, littered with some large stones conviently placed diagonally across it.The water ran clear, though there appeared to be some rapids further down.

Mozer grinned, poking Casimir in the ribs yet again. The Warriour was obviously still displeased about being dragged along here, but the Scholar didn't care. This was a gryvern event and it was only natural that their famous Warriour be among them. "Perhaps you can find a pet to bring back to Jaradka," the lengthy Dark teased.
"She would hunt it," Casimir replied stiffly, dark eyes scanning about. Mozer gave a low laugh, then carefully nabbed his friend's tail and tugged him backwards and northward. "Well, come along, anyway. It's good for you to come hang out with your bachelor friends sometimes."
"Or bachelorette," Astafy put in swiftly. Mozer grinned wolfishly at her. She tossed her white forelock at him. "Well, it's true!"
---
"Well, Veselin," the Air said congenially. "Which way would you like to go?" A purple-grey eye flicked sideways as a green mix came gallomping by, missing the blue by inches. Veselin visibly flinched, pale eyes sliding up to Samir and then away again. He gave a noncommittal shrug, then another winve as the hybrid tore by again. Samir waited a moment then moved to the next of his charges. "Well, Jaradmir?"
"North!" the green announced. "Father's to the north."
Samir blinked, eyes shifting to the group of personages referred to. That's right, Casimir. The Air gave a brief shrug, then readjusted his cape. "Very well, to the north it is."

Griksei looked around but didn't-... Wait of course he wouldn't see her right here She'd be terrified to stand out in a crowd like this one! He should have met her before hand somewhere... Oh well, she might still be around... Somewhere. He began to move around the edge of the crowd, which was easier when they began to spread out, but he still had a hard time finding her, and it wasn't untill he stood up on his hind legs and looked over the various stragglers that he spotted his rather shy friend and began walking over to her... "Katya?" he asked as he got closer to where he atleast thought she was hiding.
-------------
Rei ran around the edges of the river sparratically, occasionally getting her claws wet as she darted to the edge of the water whenever something on the other side seemed to move in even a slightly odd manner... She hadn't bothered to ask what they were suppsoed to do when they found something, or uh... What it was the things looked like but she was sure she'd get one! or Ten! And then she could give one to Casimir, and uh... To her siblings, and have some left over for her mom to give heart attacks to.

Katya's ears tilted upwards at the familiar voice and she turned her head to finally spot the familiar male. In a flash of blue, she was hiding between Griksei's front legs, curling around the left one with only the tiniest hint of trembles. "Hallo," she murmured against his leg. "There's. . . a LOT of gryvern here. . . " It wasn't really clear whether this was a good thing or bad thing. The hybrid wasn't too sure herself, either way. It was amazing to see so many gryvern! All at once!!! And the all at once part was the problem.
---
The red hybrid's lunges at the river really only succeeded in getting her feet wet and scaring the few fish swimming through the current. However, there might be a flash of greenish-blue further down the river. . . and a distinct splash.

Griksei grinned when she appeared to finally notice him and then blinked... She was really fast when she wanted to be, or atleast when it came to switching hiding spots. He nuzzled her slightly when he felt her tremble, even if it was very slight. "Glad you made it," He said with a smile before glancing about the crowd again "Yeah It's kind of overwhelming here, even for me... Which way do you want to go?" He asked casually, he didn't have a preference and didn't know what this place was like... Anyways it was the polite thing to do, or something.
---
She hadn't noticed the flash of greenish-blue but had definitely heard the splash and went on full alert... Because she knew she hadn't caused that one, So without any further delay she stalked off in the direction of the splash keeping a moderate pace but trying to be stealthy in the process. Of course then she started thinking... It was probably some sort of horrible sea-monster that had just snatched one of the pets, and she'd have to fight it to the death to save the little creature and thus earn it's unending loyalty, oh yeah this was going to be awesome.

"I don't know," came the mumble from the Light's leg. Katya didn't seem to have much of a preference either. Occasionally she's peek out with a golden eye before hiding her face again. She was simply trying to get a grip on her uneasiness and hoped Griksei would go ahead and make the decision.
---
There was evidence of wotever it was's passing, but it was quickly fading. . . Expanding rings in the river were quickly dissipated by it's current; however, a blue-green stone bobbed up and back down further down the river. Wotever it was, it was moving rather quickly.

Griksei glanced around, and noted that most of them were probably going to stick to the open areas, where it would be possible to fly and catch things easier... So he decided West may be the best bet for them, even if there were others there it was less likely they'd meet up with them in the dense forest. "West sound ok?" He asked before nudging her gently, and taking a step... Hoping she'd move along with him.
------------
When Rei noticed the signs of displaced water, and the blue-green stone? she began dashing forward, not wasting any time (but possibly a lot of energy) to catch up with it, of course falling prey to her grand visions of battles and such once more... Atleast these helped motivate her to catch up with whatever it was quickly... <.<

(( *remember where at least half of this was going* )) Katya nodded against his leg, not pulling up her head to watch, though golden eyes almost furtively darted back and forth to stare at the gryvern milling about. This seemed almost more like a social gathering than any sort of actual event; many of the gryvern were talking rather than looking. When he nudged her, she sortof hopped forward, remaining resolutely between his forelegs and-- whenever possible-- in physical contact with at least one of them. At least she seemed slightly calmer. -------------------- The stone wasn't exactly large, especially not compared to her, but it was probably at least slightly larger than one of her feet, and it wasn't slowing down. As long as there was water before it, it continued to zigzag through, moving ever downstream. Rei's energetic dash was certainly helping her catch up to it, though the stone didn't seem to be really trying as it continued to speed forward.
