"Yes," she replied, attention pulled back to the clouds again. Man, those were fun. "It was very refreshing and it caught my attention. Do you always have it storming around you? How do you get the clouds to come off your shoulders like that? Do they tickle?"
Gisele tilted her head slightly, sneaking a swift glance at the handsome male. Knowing Ryn made her all the more aware of how carefully he was speaking. Had she said something wrong? No, no, better to not second guess herself. Even if he was the best-looking gryvern she had ever seen. . . . No, focus!
"Oh, dear!" she replied faintly, and then she suddenly actually understood wot he said and she turned her bright green gaze fully on him. "Is she alright? Wot happened?"

"I have it storming whenever I please," Makani replied, puffing out his chest with pride. He took a step towards the gryvern, and the clouds moved from him, brushing her cheek. The feeling was odd, cold and insubstantial, as if she had been stroked by living mist. Her fur was damp where the cloud touched, leaving its mark. "I would not call it tickling, exactly." he remarked, looking from her to the cloud.
"I believe she is fine," Aniol nodded reassuringly. "She had her pups without issue, but.. They were born with the effects of their father's sanity." he shook his head a little sadly. "I have made it my own mission to try and track down a guardian of some sort for her, I fear that she will lose her mind if her mate has any further interactions with her."

Makani's easy-going nature contrasted with her own alert and rather abruptly forthright one, but all in all she was having a great time so far. Her hide twitched beneath the cool caress and she gave a low chuckle at the feeling. "So your shoulders are always wet?" She asked curiously. "Don't you ever get cold?"
Gisele relaxed slightly, still concerned for this female she hadn't even met. "A guardian is a very good idea," she agreed. "Have you found anyone to fit the bill?" Not that she knew of anyone off the top of her head, but she was more than willing to help Aniol brainstorm.

"Ah, not in de homeland.. It's always warm dere, you see? Keeps all of me content." He shot a glance up at the cloudy sky with more than a little annoyance in his eyes. "But here, it is always so cold anyway! It will take some getting used to, but I tink I'll manage." He sat down, then layed before Ryn, ears perked forward with interest, waiting eagerly for whatever she might say. She was so unlike her brother, and he found it to be completely refreshing.
"Ah.." the white gryvern's eyes fell to inspect his nails once more. "I have one idea, but none as to where to start. I have heard rumors of a type of tsume that specializes in protection, but... It seems they are quite rare." He looked a little embarassed as he said that, lifting his eyes to look at her sheepishly.

"Oohh, where's your homeland? It sounds nice!" Sometimes the 'chill' here got to the Air, but, really, she was very adaptable. Their Home Reality had been so hot and dry that the cool wetness was a lovely change. Not that she had spent a great deal of time there since she came of age. As an Explorer she was constantly on the go, something she enjoyed. She loved to explore and see new places and things.
Gisele tilted her head, wondering why he seemed embarrassed about not being able to find a rare type of tsume, "Well, it's not surprising you're having difficulty then." Her voice was gentle. "I wonder if there's anyone truly in the know about tsume as Sera is for us gryvern. . ." She knew Aniol would understand her meaning; while Sera may not know everything about gryvern, through their own choice, the woman did know enough that she was an excellent source for information and knew who to point others to in case they wanted further information.

"Across de ocean a ways... It's an island in de tropics, so it's very warm all de time. Dere are more plants den I've ever seen before growing dere. It's a beautiful place, Zephiryn." He replied with a nod and a flash of a grin. "I tink dat everyone should visit during dey're lives."
Aniol paused thoughtfully, considering her words. "Really, I have not heard of such a person. There have been rumors to me about one who acts as caretaker and doctor to some Tsumes, but I have been unable to locate her." He licked his lips, deep in thought for a time. When he spoke again, it was slowly, almost warily. "Would you... like to help me locate this individual?"

"How do you get there?" Zefiryn asked curiously as a part of her mind wondered at the way he pronounced her name. She liked Makani's way of saying it. "It seems like it would be hard to cross an ocean. . . " Though obviously someone had done it.
Gisele felt the flush rising across her muzzle again, but she quickly nodded, "Yes, I would love to help you, Aniol." And it was the truth. "Would Makani know?"

Makani stands rather abruptly, staring at Ryn questioningly. "To get dere, one either flies or swims. It would seem dat you only have one of dose options avaliable to you.. Should you want to go sometime, I could find a water tsume to help you, and de rest of de time I could carry you." It seems Aniol has left out information on the gryvern's flight ability. Makani's eyes show an eagerness, a desire to travel that the Explorer would well understand.
Aniol glanced at the rain and the air, then looked back to Gisele, meeting her eyes for a moment before looking to the ground once more. "It looks as if he is distracted for the time. I would guess he was asked about his homeland, so... That distraction could last for many hours." He lifted his gaze again, shyly. "If you would accompany me, I am sure the time would pass much quicker."

Zefiryn felt Makani's enthusiasm slipping to her as well. "Well, I can almost be passable at both," she answered with a smile that suddenly went slightly sour as she thought about her current flight abilities. "Of course. . . I'm a much better swimmer than flyer." That was laugh; she was a terrible flyer. It would be difficult for her to not swim better than she flew.
Aniol, Gisele decided, had the prettiest eyes she had ever seen. The same vibrant yellow as his sister's, his were, nevertheless, somehow softer. As such, she was nearly a beat late for their conversation; he was just too distracting. "Well, I can't begrudge them their conversation," the Eastern said with a gentle smile towards her oblivious friend. "Should we be on our way? Or tell them we're going first?"

Makani looked up for a moment, suddenly quiet and thoughtful. The clouds drifted peacefully around his body, almost mimicking his concentration. He glanced over to the Gryvern once more, eyes full of light and pleasure. "You are serious about dis?" he asked, moving in close and showing just a moment's hesitation as he caught a whiff of her scent (it was foreign and strange to him, yet, he found himself enjoying it). "Because I can find a way to bring us dere, if you are.. Something easier than flying or swimming all dat way."
Aniol flipped his hair out of his eyes, turning his head to watch his sister and the Tsume, but his eyes did not stray from Gisele. "I think," he said, voice extremely soft, almost a whisper, "That we had best leave them to their own devices." A slow smile crept across his face, playful in nature and in stark contrast to the red that rose under his fur.

Zefiryn's ears perked up and bright yellow eyes focused on the Rain tsume with eagerness and excitement. Swimming and/or flying all the way to some distant land sounded fun but, nevertheless, rather difficult. However, now that she had found Aniol, and another deep tinge of pleasure shot contentment throughout her whole body, she was at 'loose ends', as it were. And Makani appeared the perfect distraction. "You can find a way, or you have a way in mind?"
Delicately curled ears flicked backwards in amusement and Gisele's whiskers flicked with seldom expressed mischievousness. She was always the stalwart, steady one and the idea of just... sneaking away appealed greatly to her. With a careful twist of her black tuft, her bright green eyes met Aniol's for a moment before she sent him a challenging look. The mixed pair seemed rather involved with each other and now would be the best time to sneak away.

"Dere is a Tsume," Makani drawls, looking at the Air Gryvern lazily, a slow grin appearing on his face. "Who can warp us dere in de blink of an eye, as dey say. But she is a little..." he hesitates, as if looking for a suitable word in his mind. It might become evident to Zefiryn that Common is not his native language, nor is the Gaelic that is so readily spoken by other Tsumes. "She is off in de head." he decides after a moment, the grin nearly splitting his face in two. "But she is not scary, no, she is just very strange."
Aniol drops low, slinking into the undergrowth, careful not to rustle any of the branches around them. He knew that the two would not mind if they left, but where was the fun in that? It was very odd, he had never thought of himself as being "fun" in any sense of the word, yet here he was with this strange Gryvern, and all he wanted was to goof off.
It was horribly unbecoming of him, he scolded himself mentally.
That did not stop him from glancing over a shoulder to make sure Gisele was following him, and he leapt gracefully into the sky, weaving silently through the thick branches of the trees and finally bursting through into the light of day.

"No offense to you," Zefiryn couldn't help but laugh softly, rather oblivious to his unusual speech patterns. "But you seem to be one of the few not'off' tsume in the world! Mozer has spread such horrible tales and if I hadn't met you with Aniol, I might not have had the courage to come talk!" Okay, that wasn't entirely true; Makani was neat enough-looking and not angry-enough looking that there was a good chance she might have wandered over anyway. "If you know where this slightly off tsume is," the grey gryvern continued merrily. "Let's go find her!"
An Explorer through and through, Gisele was well-trained in the arts of tracking and was able to slip through the underbrush with nary a sound herself. There was only a brief holdup when one whisker got snagged in some extremely knotted vines, but a momentary pause and she was free again and leaping after Aniol into the air. She felt a giggle building in her throat to a full-throated laugh and only held it in long enough that they were mostly out of hearing range of Makani and Zefiryn. She felt so light, so...free!

Makani grins widely, his long fangs glimmering in what would appear to be entirely threatening in any other face. He looks at her, stormcloud grey eyes glimmering with mirth, and he shrugs. "I have heard such tings. But den, where I come from, everyone is much more normal." he leans his head back, the clouds gathering around his neck like a fluffy and eternally-moving collar. "Much more sane, as you say."
He obviously takes no offence, the grin on his face evidence enough of that. With a flick of his head, motioning for her to follow as he begins to lope through the thick trees of the Hills, leaping nimbly over branches and keeping to the ground - he still has no idea that the Air can take to the sky. >_>;;
Her laugh... Was intoxicating, Aniol realized in a bubble of thought that seemed to build within him. It was as if her laughter was filling him to the brim with joy, and he could not resist - after a moment, he added his own, deeper and equally delighted laughter to her own. The ridiculousness of it all! Here he was, seeking a guard for his friend, Havrani, and yet -
He was completely enamoured with this deep blue female. He soared before her, his elongated tail streaming behind him with little care, the tuft of hair at the end tickling her nose delicately.

And it's unlikely the Air will go out of her way to share the ability unless there's absolutely no other choice; she really is that bad at flying. She takes about three running steps before realizing she hadn't told Aniol and Gisele they were going! She turns, but her golden gaze finds no sign of her brother and friend. Zefiryn tilted her head slightly before a grin spilt her features followed quickly by a low laugh. Oh, yes, Aniol and Gisele were perfect for each other. Without another moment of hesitation, the Explorer turns and throws herself full-heartedly into the chase.
Gisele sneezed lightly, then carefully caught the tuft and twisted a whisker up the long end of his tail and tugged with a gentle tug that used her entire head to make. She laughed again, untangling herself quickly to put on a burst of speed and leap-frogged over the white Air with a challenging smile.
