She looked at him, as if he was crazy or something... Well, of course it was passed on from her parents! Where else would she get it? Aliens? Random microbes or bacteria? "I told you I'm a new type. My fathers type, and my moms type mixed together to make an inferno... You don't have that sort of thing?" She said with a small humph, then sighed... She didn't need to be impatient with him, he was after all some sort of alien dog dragon thing... Gryvern. Right.
Hmm, he was pretty cute... Was he a fire type? Must be, she thought because otherwise there would have been a nasty burn on his cheek from earlier... And on his nose from a moment ago. She'd have to find out just how much heat he could stand later... heh

"Our Types don't mix," Ziven replied a bit haughtily, stung at her response to his question. He was only curious, there was no need for her to give him such a look. "Well, wot Types are your parents then?"
Types mixing! That thought was exciting. But having to ask her for the information was beginning to be too great a task. Hurmph indeed!

She tilted her head at him, their types didn't mix? That was weird... Of course it was better than what happened with tsumes some times... Because certain types did Not mix well. At all. As for her response, as it may have become obvious she was not good with manners and didn't learn to hide any of the feelings or expressions that caused anger or annoyance in other people.
"Uh, well... My father was a dark evil mix... And my mother was a fire solar. I had a brother but he died because of the mutations..." She said with a shrug, wondering whether if they meant didn't mix as in there weren't combined types, or if it was just impossible for them to interbreed? And so she asked. "So, you uh, just can't interbreed, or is it just one or the other of the types if two get together?" She hardly finished talking before she turned her head and burped towards the fire, releasing a black cloud of fumes which crackled as they dissipated... It also smelled... Really bad, although she did give him an apologetic look afterwards... Not that she was embarrassed.

Her brother died? That was a concerning thought, though she was living, breathing proof that it worked at least some times. His answer was precipitated by the belch and he swallowed hard as his eyes teared up and he had a small coughing fit to overcome the sudden blow to his senses. Uh, wow. That was unpleasant.
After a few moments, however, he pushed through, "Gryvern Types can't interbreed because the offspring will either be horribly mutated in bad ways or die, or it can cause sterility." He shook his head slightly, trying to clear the last of the fumes away. "It's not fair to do that to an unborn creature."

She seemed to realize something after a moment of watching the fumes disperse into the air around them, and then flapped her wings a couple times to get rid of whatever smell was still lingering in the air. And then he explained about the interbreeding issue and she nodded to him.
"There is a similar issue with us... Some types don't mix so well, it's usually best to stick to the same type to avoid problems." She said then stood up, taking afew steps forward, she began to rearrange the burning logs and such in the fire in order to help maximize the life and heat of it, still watching him somewhat.

Ziven appreciated her efforts to disperse the remaining smell, and was pleased to take a deep breath full of the scent of burning wood. That was such a lovely, homey smell, he decided. It made him happy and content. And that helped him relax a little.
"So how many Types do tsume have?" he asked curiously. Afterall, gryvern only had the 7 Types; it would be nice for that to expand.
(( egads, Ziven would be a high-maintenance partner. xD; ))

Bhodan grinned when he seemed somewhat pleased, she was beginning to get a hang of these manner... Things... Sorta. Anyways, atleast she did something good right? Maybe she could keep it up.
"No idea." She said as she removed herself from the fire again, then licked his nose. "How'z about you?" She asked playfully before trying to decide whether to sit back down or start pacing around the fire... She could sit still but she was beginning to get more energy and it wasn't as fun to sit still when hyper.

Ziven blinked when she licked him again; that was a strange behaviour, but it seemed familiar; as though he had seen Jaradka do the same to Casimir. Odd. Again, it was the sensation of heat, though it didn't burn him. His core body temperature was also rising instinctively to try to match the amount of heat dissipating from the inferno tsume, so this lick didn't burn as much as the first one had.
"There are seven Types of gryvern," he answered easily. "And only seven."

Only seven? That seemed rather boring didn't it? Ah well, it wasn't his fault that his race was genetically dull... Well, ok maybe that was pretty harsh, she had no idea how exciting or dull the types were just that there wasn't as much of a diversity. Hmph.
"Weird, there are tons of tsume types..." She said with a shrug, deciding on sitting next to him again rather than pacing around the fire... Deciding to lean against him to try and push herself back into tired/laziness so she could stand to sit around some more.
She momentarily forgot that her wings gave off a rather uncomfortable heat yet again.

(( sorry, had to go take care of some stuff. xD;; ))
Ziven could handle the heat for a little while, but after a bit it would be too much for him; at least until his body could become used to more. "I don't see how it's that strange," the Mage replied a bit saucily, though nowhere nearly as sarcastic as he had attempted to be earlier. "I bet the tsume started out as a small number of types as well; you simply have the better luck at getting your genetics to intermix."

She had no idea how much he could handle, she did however notice that his body temperature had risen, and this caused her some amount of enjoyment. "Mmm... You're getting warmer, It feels nice." she said with a purr like voice, attempting to snuggle closer with him without outright climbing on him or such.
"Prolly, I'm no good at genetic stuff." She said with a small shrug "I guess yer just different or something... Not so weird." Hey, she was beginning to act polite, somewhat atleast. And even earlier was pretty good considering her regular manners, or lack there of.

Ziven hadn't noticed that his body temperature was rising, though he did now. Of course snuggling closer added to the limit of wot he could handle and after a few more moments he had to give himself just a little space. "It will take a little while for my body to level out at its max temperature," he explained. Of course, he didn't know wot his max temperature -was-, but that didn't seem as important.
"Thank you. . . I think," he replied to the. . . almost. . . not insult. At least she seemed a little less. . . volatile. Almost.

Bhodan tilted her head at him, so that made a bit of sense... At first he had seemed much more effected by her heat and now he wasn't so much... It'd be neat if she could cool off like that, unfortunately it wasn't possible. She only had the Hot, and Hotter settings on her built in thermostat. Ah well.
"What is your max temperature? I'm not very close to mine... I think, although I'v never found anything too hot to handle so far." She said with a grin, which then widened a bit in a more mischevious manner. "Although you are very pretty." ah, she just couldn't help but make that comment, she had so very little self control now didn't she?

"I don't actually know my max temperature," Ziven replied, rather amused that she had asked wot he had only just been thinking of. "I've never had reason to reach it before." He hadn't really thought about his temperature changes, it was just something he did. Really, he wasn't even certain if other gryvern did it too. Huh.
He flushed slightly when she said he was pretty. "Ah, well. . . " he cleared his throat and looked away. It seemed trite to consider saying the same thing about her, though he was finding it more and true the more time he spent in her company. She wasn't nearly as frightening as Jaradka, really. . . . She was just a little unusual.

Bhodan grinned and leaned against him again, "Want to find out?" She asked in a rather seductive manner, nudging him with her shoulder. She was more than willing to help him find out how much heat he could handle... It'd be fun. Then she tilted her head at him, Normally some sort of comment was returned when you called someone pretty right? Aww... He was so bashful wasn't he? Or maybe not just as blunt as she was. "Tell me if it get's too... Warm."
...After she thought about it, he really was very pretty. She had never really met anyone that she liked enough to look at on that level, but he was definitely an option... Too bad he wasn't a Tsume, then it'd be perfect, she doubted a Gry-vern would consider something like her.
