There were those that came out to bask by the side of streams for the quiet and peacefullness of their sorroundings, Finding solice in the peace and quiet. However, this was not always the case and this patch of the river was very far from silent, perhaps due to the large waterfall that continually flung water down into the gorge below. She sat beside the river atop some rocks looking down at the churning waters and jagged rocks which made up the base of the falls... She liked it here, the random rainbows that flew through the mist and clunking of branches or logs bouncing off the rocks before being flung off the cliff with the water... She couldn't hear the river elsewhere, and at the moment wished that there was some sound out there that could drown out the thoughts going through her mind. Oh, she was treated fine, they acted so polite around her... Atleast when they thought that she could hear them. But she could tell that they did it out of pity, she was constantly being shunned by them, it was just pity that allowed her to remain. And she hated it. It was a rare day that the hunter simply took a walk. He liked to have a purpose to everything he did, a destination or a goal to follow. He didn't like the feeling of his actions not having a point; it made him feel uncomfortable. But today he simply walked, out of the forest, where prey was abundant, and into open grassland dotted here and there with stands of trees. He followed the sound of rushing water; at least it gave him a direction of sorts, and made him feel better.
The soothing murmur became an insistent crashing as he drew nearer, until at last he upon the banks of a wide, quick stream and the base of a towering waterfall. As he narrowed his eyes against the sun and traced the falling water to its source, he saw the figure of another creature perched high atop the cliffside.

The lone female had no idea that there was a watcher down at the base of the falls, she was far too entranced with the falling water, and the small rainbows that occasionally appeared out of the spray before falling back within. She was still mad, and frustrated at her gryvern relatives. But it was starting to lessen.
She sighed, then stood up and stretched. Her feathers and hair momentarily flairing up with the wind, and then with an agile jump crossed to the other side of the river, remaining on the cliff side but moving to where there was still sun. A couple rocks clattered down the side but she didn't appear to notice.
well, whatever this creature was it appeared to be gryvern-like... And it's feathered tail and shoulders would probably seem somewhat familiar.

The hunter saw the figure above him change positions, and recognized the build as gryvern. He wondered if the individual had spotted him as he has spotted him or her. He wasn't given to overly social encounters, but it was, generally speaking, terribly rude to ignore another sentient being entirely.
"Hello, there!" he called up, but the thunder of the falls swallowed his voice entirely.
Well, there was nothing to do but to fly up there and be polite. The antlered male gathered his powerful hind muscles and launched himself skyward, slipping easily through the damp mist that clung to the waterfall. If he was surprised at the wings and tail he discovered on the gryvern-like female, he didn't let it show.
He nodded cordially. "Greetings, miss," he said. "Fine day."

She was looking down to make sure that the ground was dry enough to lay on when he spoke up from behind her, she wasn't even sure someone said anything at first... But looked over just before he spoke again. She visibly jumped when she saw him, nearly slipping off the rock in fright but managed to catch herself in time, but looking a bit silly in the process.
After an awkward moment she righted herself and smiled at him, blushing lightly. "I'm sorry I didn't hear you." she said with a small bow of her head, why'd she have to make a fool out of herself everytime someone startled her? it was so embarrassing... She wondered what he had said moments ago, all that she had been able to catch was 'day' because she could see the way the word was formed on his lips... And the thought that maybe he had said stuff to her before made her blush even more vividly, and fidget alittle bit.

The big brown gryvern eyed the smaller female dubiously. She certainly seemed a little skittish.
He decided to try again. "No mind. I was simply saying hello, and commenting on the fine day we have today. My name is Rastko."

Her ears twitched furiously as she tried to listen to his voice, it was so soft she could hardly make any of his tones out, expecially with the sound of the falls so nearby. So instead she very carefully read his lips, it was probably pretty obvious that she was paying a lot of attention to the way his mouth was moving, and also not really looking him in the eyes...
"It's nice to meet you... My name is Serce." She tried to qwell the blush that was still spreading across her face, and was slowly starting to succeed. "It is a rather nice day...." She said as she sat down... She felt so out of place all of the sudden, and brushed the hair out of her eyes with a hand...
...Hand...

Rastko very deliberately chose not to stare at the female's rather unexpected appendage. Light, what was she?
"Well met, Serce. From where do you hail?"

it was pretty obvious that she was not a full gryvern... But that she must atleast share some heritage with them, and those feathers... They were a lot like Natalyas weren't they? Even the color was similar.
"I was born at the Encargo del tempo, with the rest of the gryvern..." It seemed she had met someone that did not know that she was some bastard child, that was... odd, it seemed like everyone knew. "I'v been thinking of moving out though..." She said with a obvious sigh, then sort of looked away. She would have looked all the way off to the side had she not needed to be able to read his lips incase of a response.

"Enchanted to make your acquaintance," Rastko responded with one of his rare, soft smiles.
She wasn't a full-blooded gryvern. That much he could see. Yet, there was something oddly familiar about her. He tossed his antlers, realizing he was on the verge of staring. Perhaps that was why she was watching him so intently. He hoped he hadn't offended her.
"Forgive me, lady, for being forward, but have I met you before? Perhaps when you were much younger?"

She blushed again when he smiled, it had been so long since someone was nice to her without doing so just so she wouldn't think they hated her... And of course they didn't hate her, they just hated the idea of her.
She didn't even notice the fact that he was staring, she was too busy trying to avoid staring herself... Although she wasn't succeeding very well.
"I... Don't think we've met." She said as she turned more fully to face him again, tilting her head to think about it. "I am told I look a lot like my mother, though I think they are just refering to my feathers..." One of the feathers on her shoulders moved alittle bit at this comment, And she smiled back at him.

The hunter's brow lifted slightly with interest. "Perhaps then I know your parents...?"
He left off with a polite, questioning tone.

She smiled wider at him then shook her head, she very much doubted he knew both her parents, For if she had it was unlikely he would stick around her... Or maybe much more likely, it was hard to tell. "You might know my mother... Her name is Natalya, she's been a healer for a long time." she paused for a moment, but then instead of mentioning her father just sighed and looked over at the river.
She wondered if she would ever meet her father, it seemed unlikely but it might be nice... So long as he wasn't into incest.

Rastko's breath caught.
"Natalya? Natalya the healer?" His voice was rough. Unconsciously, he took two sharp steps forward, closer to the young female than he would normally find tasteful.
He opened his eyes wide. Of course. Natalya. Those weren't wings on Serce's back; they were feathers, inherited from her mother. Even her coloring was similar, even if her colors were stronger and more forceful than the gentle, muted colors of her healer mother.
When had Natalya born children? It didn't seem so long ago that he had last seen her.

She looked up when he first said Natalya, she could hardly hear the roughness in his voice... But she saw the shock and... Horror? in his eyes and on his features. Her only response though was to smile very meekishly at him and begin to shy away from him. Seeming to cower alittle bit. She hated it when people got angry, even if it was not at her she just... Didn't like that feeling, it made her feel weak and scared. She just wanted people to like her...
"do you... Know her?" she asked meepishly, averting her eyes down to the ground infront of his feet. She appeared to be rather the shy creature, unsurprisingly so. She was obviously a mix that had been raised around the rather pure blooded gryvern, and mixes were not something that were approved by the general population...
