(*pulls it over here* >_>;; )
Sobriquet trilled delightedly at the compliment, blushing vividly beneath her feathers. "You are a flirt, Samir." her words were scolding, but her voice was soft and gentle, carrying a pleased note.
She leaned over the edge of the basket, wind whipping her face as she observed the land far beneath them. "I believe we've crossed into Tsume lands, Samir. We should use more caution from here on out, they are unpredictable. My Aerie was located in a dense pine forest, maybe 15 miles from here."
She sank low in the hammok, closing her eyes tightly and pressing close to the Gryvern for comfort. It had been so long since she'd dared return, anxiety and terror seemed to occupy her fully.
And from behind them, two shadows followed, just out of sight.

Samir felt a laugh forming deep in his chest at her not so sharp scholding. It didn't actually rumble out, but it sat there, just below the surface.
His eyes scanned the area, noticing, as usual, that when you flew over things, the landscape didn't suddenly change. It was generally so gradual you just didn't even notice it. Tsume lands were beautiful as well, but this beauty was tinged by the tension he felt within his small passenger, and that made it difficult to simply enjoy the scenery.
Even then, there was a sense of something and the gryvern was slowly tensing himself, as his ears flicked around uneasily. No sign yet that something was wrong, per say, but he could feel that something was brewing. He just couldn't place where just yet. He listened, scented, and looked, all while waiting for that little inner sense to help him pinpoint exactly wot it was that he needed to know.

The shadows continued to dip and weave, propelling themselves on wide, broad wings towards the two. Samir would feel that his sense was warning himself about them, though whether it was warning him just that there were creatures following them or if the creatures were actually a danger was still unknown.
Sobri began to sing quietly, noticing Samir's tension and hoping to soothe it with her song. "Prosti menya, mladshiy brat! Ya tak pred toboy vinovat. Pyitatsya vernut' nyelzya Togo, chto vzyala zyemlya."
Her voice carried over the wind, soft and soothing, almost the singing voice of a child. The shadows must have heard her, for they began to speed nearer to the two, almost putting on a frenzied burst. Samir would almost be able to hear their powerful wingbeats, though it could still just be his imaginings.
"Kto znayet zakon Byitiya, Pomog byi mne nayti otvet. Zhestoko oshibsya ya; Ot smerti lekarstva nyet.."

Samir enjoyed her song, but that sense of danger grew stronger and stronger until keen hearing caught the sound of wings. "Hold on," he growled suddenly, the words vibrating through him and into the small gryphon. Samir dropped abruptly from the sky, praying that Sobri had obeyed his curt order. He only dropped from the sky into the upper canopy of the trees, eyes quickly locking on their two followers so he could judge how much of a threat they might be. Few things could fly as quickly through trees as a gryvern, but he was hoping to avoid such a flight.

"Ahn!" Sobri cried out as she abruptly hunkered down, the noise loud and keening, her claws emerging almost cat-like and digging into the cloth. She would feel obliged to repair this damage later, but for now her terror illustrated that she hold on as tightly as she could. The two black forms pulled in their wings - one pulling in a pair of bright white, the other four deep midnight wings - and diving after the gryvern, seemingly in reply to the little white Gryphon's cry.
"Samir! It's my brothers!"

It was fortunate that Sobriquet was swift to recognize the pair; when the two had dove to follow, the gryvern had tensed to plunge deeper into the trees. He didn't relax however, more concerned with learning how the two would view their sister's return before letting them near.
"Hallo," he called out, body still near vibrating with his instincts need to move, to dodge and duck. As yet, he didn't feel the gryphon's earlier reaction, which had managed to imprint into his own skin, though the cuts weren't deep.
The gryvern watched the pair closely, ready to move if they seemed to be flanking them.
