A thin, star-kissed dark blue form slunk through the trees. Older now, his starved body is more obvious than as a swies. Golden eyes seem to nearly glow from the sunken mask of his face, hollows shadowing near those too-bright orbs. A silver collar hangs heavily along his protruding collarbone, and it seems to weigh too much for his emancipated frame. The noctyier Gryvern stepped with exaggerated care, little wasted movement. It wasn't that he was so careful of his surroundings as his malnourished body could not sustain prolonged periods of activity. He was reaching the end of his short burst of energy, and he needed to rest. A small pond glinted beneath trees just a few yards away, and he altered his path to head towards it, instincts pulling where his mind was unaware. The thin gryvern reached his destination, with only one small mishap, a stumble into one of the many trees. He glanced dully at the now-bruised spot, but his dark coat wouldn't show it. He carefully plopped to the ground, grimacing slightly as it felt his bones wouldn't stand even that amount of force. His long neck bowed and bright eyes closed as he evened out his breath and tried to regain some of his energy.

When the purple and white form stepped out into the woods, a lip curled up briefly in distaste. She didn't like being away from home and wouldn't even be here if sera hadn't requested that she locate and return with the missing Veselin. She'd traced him to here, but now she simply had to find him. Her purple tail twitched, sending the white tuft into a nearby bush. She turned to look in surprise and frustration crossed her expression as her eyes rolled briefly heavenward. She tugged, and the hairs simply ensnarled further into the bush. With a low growl, she turned in a tight circle so she could reach the bush and her tail and began to carefully untangle the hairs from the small leaves and snaggily branches. AHA! She whipped the tail around as it finally came free and turned to start searching... Only to stop short when her scarf caught on something as well. "Argh!" she snapped and turned to see wot she was stuck on now. For the love of Light, this was absolutely ridiculous.

It wasn't so much a question of what her scarf had caught on, but who had caught it... ok, maybe what would also apply but that is beside the point. He had seen this thingy wandering around the forest getting stuck on everything, and wondered what it was doing here... It was about to ask when the scarf brushed right infront of him and he was just too tempted to grab onto it. The thing that came into view when she turned was a rather small tsume, probably a hatchling, light blue with somewhat mottled dark patches on it's body, and small green horns on it's head, with matching green feathers on the end of its tail. when he noticed she had seen him he let out a muffled 'meep!' noise due to the scarf end he was holding... and stared at her as if expecting to be gobbled up at any moment. Astafy was easily as surprised as he seemed afraid and the Light Gryvern hesitated for several long moments. The tiny thing didn't -look- all that dangerous, but Mozer's warnings rang through her head, because she was fairly certain this was a tsume. And tsume tended to bode ill for Gryvern. She could still see Natalya's reaction when they had brought her in from her run-in with a Sin.
Then again, Mozer had said to simply take care and that she'd likely be fine. And this thing was absolutely tiny compared to her. He wouldn't even take a whole bite. Surely she'd be able to eat him before he could hurt her. Right?
In any case, she finally offered, "Hallo." Another long beat of silence. "May I have my scarf back?"

He sat there staring back in near terror for several moments, eyes wide and wobbly slightly in an exceedingly cute manner achievable only by some of the smaller, more harmless critters out there. when she said hello he seemed a little bit relieved and let out some muffled mumbling noises... When she asked if she could have the scarf back it nodded, then blinked afew times before he realized that that meant he had to let go, which he promptly did.
"Hi." he squeaked out in a high pitched voice before ducking down a little bit. "My names napolean." he half mumbled out as he kept a somewhat shy eye on the large light gryvern.

"Thank you," she replied as her scarf came free, dancing lightly as it fluttered to rest along her neck again. "It is nice to meet you, Napolean. I am Astafy." She tossed her head lightly, the gem embedded into her forehead glinting in the sunlight before her white forelock fell over to hide it yet again.
Okay, awkward silence. Her large, finned ears flicked back uneasily before she thought of something else. "Why are you here all alone in these woods?" Not that it seemed overly dangerous, but, he did seem too small to be wandering around on his own. Green eyes skimmed around searching for companions for the tiny being.

He stared up at her for a moment, making a small 'ooh' noise when he saw the jewel in her forehead glint in the light which filtered through the trees. standing up a little bit higher to try and look at it some more before it got blocked out by her hair.
Unfortunately the little guy didn't know the meaning of awkward silence, or else he might have added something before it had dragged on so long. "Umm... I was playing hide and seek... butIthinkIhidtoowell..." He kind of mumbles the last bit and looks around the area again.

The Light didn't realized that Napolean had seen the gem gleam, much less desired to get a closer look. It just didn't occur to her, especially with how used to it she was.
Astafy didn't quite catch all of the last part, but she thought it had to do with doing something too well. She could only assume he had managed to lose his playmates. "Well, I need to locate someone as well," she said quietly. "Perhaps we could search together." Green eyes skimmed back to the small tsume questioningly. "Wot are your friends names? We can call out for them."

Napolean brightened up visibly when she said that they could both search together, although... he didn't really think that his playmate was still around here since it had already been a day. "Umm... Idon'tthinkyouwanttomeether." he mumbled out sort of quickly then smiled at her. "can I come anyways? I was getting scared here all alone..." he let out a small whimper and looked around again.
his little blue wings buzzed slightly when he flapped them, almost like an insects.. they were much too small to be of any use, unless he perhaps wanted to fan someone he was really close up to.

Astafy turned to the small thing in surprise, having almost caught all of that one. "Won't your friend be worried? We should at least let her know that you're done playing, right?"
Actually, she hadn't gotten a really good look at the tsume before so she inspected him now with a deep curiousity. He didn't have any forelegs. That seemed like a serious design flaw, as it were, to her. How did he catch food? How could he keep from starving? But his splotchy markings were amusing and he really didn't seem all that scary when he stared up at her.

He paused for a moment or two, then sighed dejectedly... "I haven't seen her in a day.... she probably left already..." he looked down at the ground sadly, looking extremely pathetic in the moment (not that he ever stopped looking pathetic). his wings beat slowly before he let out a small sigh and looked back up at Astafy. "I get left behind a lot since I can't do anything..." he murmured sadly, flapping his wings pretty quickly to show that they weren't even big enough for him to fly.
It was pretty surprising that he was still alive with how little he was, other than the lack of obvious hunting abilities he didn't even have any means of defending himself. He was tiny, had little teeth and probably couldn't run too fast with only those two little legs. It'd only take an angry rat to give him a very rough time.

Astafy stared for a long moment, head tilting to one side in confusion. "Your... friend just left you here? A day ago?" From her tone of voice it was obvious that this was beyond her comprehension.
She straightened abruptly; this just would not do! Leaving a tiny helpless thing all by himself in the middle of potentially dangerous woods. And even if they weren't all that dangerous, there was still no justification for leaving the tiny thing all by himself. "Well, then, you will just have to come with me." She leaned her head down to allow him to hop up if he so chose. "When did you last eat something?"

He nodded lightly in affirmation of what she had said, he really didn't like to think about it that much, but he had gotten so used to be left behind it... ok, well it still bothered him just as much, he just already had time to cry in the bush before she arrived.
He smiled and chirped lightly whne she said he could come with her, nuzzling her nose lightly before carefully hopping carefully up onto her head and nestling into her hair a little bit, so that he still faced forward. "Umm... I ate a cricket yesterday..." he said slowly, a very tiny rumble coming from his stomach once food was mentioned.

A cricket. Astafy was still for a long moment as she processed that. "Well, before we continue on our quest, then, the first order of business is food. Do you have a good hold?" She didn't want to lose Napolean in the hunt; there was a chance he could be seriously injured just falling from her head.
She began moving, nose up, giving the little tsume time to adjust to her stride and movements as she concentrated on the scents around them and not jerking her head around too fast. Again and again, she was afraid she'd lose her small passenger. "Do you have a preferred meal?" Really, fishing might be easiest if they could find a river, but there might be a rabbit or something scampering through the woods as well. Though how she would catch it without losing Napolean she wasn't entirely sure...

The little tsume thought he probably had a good hold... "I think so..." he mumbled slightly, but then realized pretty quickly that he didn't have any way of staying ontop of her head without somehow entangling himself in her hair, and that wasn't really something he wanted to do... He chirped a few times as she began to move then crouched down as low as he could, but it was pretty obvious if she really started to move he'd be tossed off. "I'll eat anything... and umm... I don't think I have a good hold anymore." he said this statement with a bit more confidence than the last.
From all the scents around this area it was hard to pick anything out, however there was the barely audible gurgling of a stream somewhere nearby, and an occasional small animal running around somewhere in the underbrush.
