When he walked, he kept his ears tilted upwards and his head swung from side to side as he shuffled carefully forward one step at a time. He had to be cautious, otherwise he might run into another tree. Which was uncomfortable and made his nose swell, which he hated because he was already self conscious about his looks. For some reason it made him iffy when he couldn't really see his own reflection. Black feet took another careful step forward and pink eyes again attempted desperately to see something, anything, beyond the blurry darkness that coated his world. No, nothing, always nothing. He gave a small sigh, and Milovan reached out for the next step with continued care.

There was a very light rustling sound in the bushes not too far away, then there was silence again... Then the noise came again but this time it was closer and louder. followed by silence again. This time there was silence for much longer, and it seemed whatever it was had probably left or had settled down somewhere... That was until there was a sudden whoosh, and THUMP as a red blur flew out of nowhere and ran straight into him in a blind rush... landing ontop of him in a uncoordinated heap of hybrids. "Ooof! Heywatchwhereyou'regoing! I almost caught it!" she exclaimed loudly as she tried to untangle herself from him. What had she almost caught? Well, it was hard to tell... It could have been that dragonfly around twenty feet away. The truth however was that she had a piece of lint in her eye and had been trying to catch the image it imposed infront of her whenever she blinked. Of course she saw it as a horrible and monstrous creature that it was of course her sole responsibility to slay in order to... prove.. something... to someone.. www.geocities.com/thalron2002/sera/2.gif

Okay, someone running into -him- was very unusual, and that thought went thought his head even as they went rolling slightly and he somehow managed to end up on bottom. The voice above him was feminine, though, and he turned his head towards the sound despite the fact that he couldn't actually see wot she looked like. "I don't think the problem was mine..." he protested lightly. "Wot are you after?"
Looking around would have been fruitless; unless it truly was something huge and monstrous, he wouldn't be able to see it. As it was, all he had was a large red blob perched atop him and slightly pushing the air out of his lungs.

She was about to tear off after the horrible monster again when she utterly lost track of it... Her eye finally watering just enough to get rid of the dust. Her gaze scanned over the area intently until a voice from below her finally made her pause and look down. "What?" she blinked at him.... There wasn't a problem was there? And if there was it definitely wasn't hers. "I was after a monster! It came right through here then vanished." She leaned down to his ear and whispered in a secretive manner. "Keep your eyes open, it might come back."
She of course, had no idea he was blind. she also seemed completely oblivious to the fact that she was Still standing ontop of him while she kept her attentive gaze searching for the mysterious creature that had been there until just moments ago.

"Well," he protested again uneasily. "I didn't hear anything and the only thing that came through here was you." She wasn't too large, but he also wasn't all that big himself. His right foreleg came up and one odd little hand stroked gently down her leg, a purely subconscious gesture on his part. "Perhaps you should... not stand on me?" the hybrid suggested carefully, trying to shift beneath her, but afraid to throw her too far off balance despite his own discomfort.
He kept facing her and practice through the years had gotten him quite good at aiming his face and even eyes in the general direction of whoever it was speaking to him, even if he couldn't actually see them anymore. So if she happened to look at him, it appeared he was making fairly good eye contact.

She barely even listened to what he said, she had seen something... well, she hadn't heard it either but obviously because of its odd floating nature it would not have made any noise! this thing must have been blind not to see it though, dumb hybrid. "Well -obviously- it was floating after all." she said then let out a small snort in defeat, unable to locate it anymore. When she felt his hand on her leg her eyes darted downwards to look at him.
....There was a momentary pause as she contemplated whether to slap him, bite him or hop off. she was about to do the first option when he suggested maybe ontop of him was not the best place to stand. Right. She knew that. "Well, uh, you see I was just standing here incase it came back and attacked, since you don't seem that alert after all." she explained in that sort of making it up as she went tone of voice before climbing off of him.
She of course remained oblivious to his handicap, even if it was well hidden she didn't even pay that much attention to him, she was more worried about finding horrible monsters to fight, helpless creatures to save, and glorious treasure to steal to bother looking him in his faded eyes.

With the other hybrid no longer on him, Milovan was able to roll back up to his feet, with only a slight bounce off a nearby tree he couldn't see. He gave a low sound of discomfort, but quickly tried to cover it up by clearing his throat. "So there was a floating monster... that didn't even breath?" He tilted his head curiously at her, hoping that perhaps this time he would be able to see, at least a little better. Nope, she was a red blob though there appeared to be sticks? coming off of her. Something somewhere, at least.
"Wot did this monster of yours look like?" he managed to keep most of the sarcasm from his tone and if she wasn't listening or prepared for it she likely wouldn't even hear it. His ears were his life and well-being, and normally he was very careful to listen attentively to his surroundings.

She hadn't been paying attention to him until she saw him bounce off that tree. That seemed rather dumb, was he really blind or something? Or did he just have the inability to see trees? she stared at him blankly for the longest time before losing interest again and tracking a bug that flew past her vision...
"Huh, monster?" she looked back at him, then walked forward and pressed her nose up against his, forcing him to move his head back a little bit. "It was this big! and weird shaped, it didn't make any noises and randomly vanished! I think it might have been some mutant ethereal!" she snorted, sending a gust of air right over his muzzle.
woah, he had freaky eyes. and of course, her with her masterful subtlety and grace made sure to... blurt this out like this had just happened right now and he probably didn't know about it already. "Your eyes are freaky, are you blind or something?" She stated with the utter grace of someone trying to swim with cement shoes.

He blinked owlishly at her, almost sortof being able to get a hint of gleaming purple eyes. They were very pretty, he thought idly. At least, he was fairly sure they were pretty. But her face seemed pretty young. Of course any other pleasantries were shot from his brain by her kind little comment.
He backed away from her, managing to bump back into the tree behind him. His tail curled around him and he pet the bruised spot gently. "I'm not fully blind," he answered a bit archly. "Wot's your excuse?"

She continued to stare at his eyes, looking almost completely entranced by any outside observer... The truth was, however, that she was infact imagining the many different situations where he could have valiantly lost his eye sight while fighting hoards of monsters to save the one he loved... or maybe a friend of his or something else heroic.
She didn't even hear what he said and instead immediatly continued with her own comments and questions regarding his eyesight, or lack there of. "Woah, that's cool! Did you get acid spit into your eyes during a fight? Or or get blinded by a bolt of magic or-" she cut herself off there so he could actually reply, her body wiggling slightly in excitement as she awaited his response.

"Did I-- Wha--?" His pink gaze blinked uneasily at her again and though he couldn't read her expression, he did catch the edge of her wiggles and he briefly wondered if she had to relieve herself. But her excited questioning led him to believe it wasn't that. 'Why in the world would I have acid spit into my eyes? And who shoots bolts of magic into another creature's eyes? Wouldn't you aim for somewhere more... lethal?"
He really didn't like violence, especially since he really wasn't all that great at it. Mozer had once inferred in his hearing that it was a leaning towards his father. Casimir had inferred that this wasn't a good thing. Not that the Dark had known he was listening; the Warriour male tended to forget that both Milovan and his sister had either hearing or sight, just not both. He tended to think they didn't have use of either sense. Which was fine. Milovan got to hear more than he should and he could only assume that Serce got to see more than she should.

She stared at him suspicously for several moments after he spoke, his answers didn't match up with any of her wild assumptions and this made him Boooorring. Why'd everyone have to just be born messed up or freaky looking? Couldn't it ever be alien death rays or huge battles or other things that lead to them being deformed? "How am I supposed to know?! Things like that always happen in the stories... I uh read." she didn't want to admit that it was infact other people that read her the stories because she could hardly say the alphabet. "Maybe you were trying to dodge or something?" she offered helpfully... or well, it didn't really help at all actually.
She was beginning to wonder if she'd ever find adventure... at this rate she'd only become a local legend in a year or two rather than the world renowned adventurer and fighter she was aiming for! And what was up with this weird hybrid, he looked like he was half lust by the colours and number... But he wasn't the least bit interesting to her, other than maybe uh someone to drag around?

"Have you ever had acid or bolts of magic shot at -your- eyes?" Milovan asked tartly. He was beginning to become seriously concerned with this... gryvern? Wot was she. He narrowed his eyes as he tried to focus onto the creature again. She seemed.... noctyierish. Maybe she was. She had the confidence of a gryvern, at least.
"Why are you out here anyway?" the hybrid continued on. He was in a rather deserted area, which was something he did by choice. Not all Gryvern shared Casimir's oblivion to which handicap Milovan had and they made sure to exploit it with daggers of prejudice. He inwardly sighed, trying to not think about those thoughts and whether or not this youngling shared the same.

There was a moment of pause, which was pretty amazing if you knew rei... Thinking about his question she nodded. "I got magic shot in my eyes once! It was in a bright flash of light. not acid though." She seemed remarkably grounded for those few moments, but then began to get restless again and started to pace around him, Tail flicking this way and that as she thought.
At his question of Why she was here she snorted in annoyance "Hunting monsters! Weren't you listening at all?" She suddenly dropped silent and stood still as could be, crouching slightly in a ready stance... something had apparently caught her attention.

"Why did you get magic shot at your eyes?" Milovan started to ask, but it was obvious that the other creature had stopped listening and he gave a small sigh. He flicked his ears up, nose going to the air to scent carefully as well. "I don't think there's anything here..." he protested lightly.
