She stood by the sea, perfectly still. Even without movement, however, it was easy to see her connection with the great mass of water streaming before her. Like most of her element, she hadn't known wot a true ocean looked like. Their Home Reality only had three bodies of water and the largest was still obviously a lake. Her markings, however, echoed the movement of the waves here, the deep blue rising upwards to a spray of white sea foam. She stood still, and stared out at the waves.
Several odd things are immediately noticeable with her, marking her different from others of her kind. A long tail circles around her, thick at the base before tapering towards a thin end that is esconced in a strange whitish-blue something. The membrane-hair matches that of her short, wavy forelock, a mixture between hair and fins. She stands still, but her entire body seems to thrum with a nervous tension that seems to say she's ready to bolt at any second. A long scar runs from directly below her right eye, stretching in a thin delicate line all the way to the back of her neck. Most notably, however, is the slim collar that graces her long neck, and the thin black leash that runs away from it. She is still, but it's not obvious as to whether she chooses to be or is forced to be.
Her "companion", if that's the right word for their appearance together, was smaller in size, though he has a presence that seems to more than make up for it. He appears much like a 'chimera' would, a mixture of several creatures rolled together in a rather horrifying nightmare being. His head is a blend of gryvern and lane, with finned and curved gryvern-like ears, but a flowing, shaggy mane like a lion's though his colours of black and red break the mold of a large cat. Armoured 'horns' surround his eyes, protecting them even as a nearly translucent membrane that stays almost constantly closed over his deep, cobalt blue eyes. His body is stocky and heavily muscled, and his forefeet are tipped by nasty-looking, if small, curved claws. His hind quarters mimic a horse, powerful and rounded, but his hindfeet are cloven-hooved, but still sharp. A pair of membrane wings spring from his large withers, curved and sharp looking. And his tail begins as a horse's would, but halfway down the long, coarse hairs give way to a serpentine tail ending in a large tuft. Wrapped around the strange dew claw of his left forefoot is the other end of the thin, black line.
He watched her watching the sea, cat-like tail twitching along the ground, as though he was preparing to pounce her or do something that could explain the vibrating tension dancing along her frame.
