Drifting. That was a good word to describe the landscape at the top of the cliffs. Drifting and.. windswept. The rocks rose up and clung to the mountainsides, providing many hiding places for misplaced furry creatures whenever the storms arose. It was also an ideal habitat for an odd creature much like a titanic elk yet well-suited to leap up vertical mountainsides as if they were perfectly flat paths. A herd of these creatures was in plain sight now, leaping nimbly from stone to stone as if they were tiny little goats. They grouped near the top of the mountain on a wide outcropping, lightly pawing at the hardened snow that covered the ground. They knew there was grass here, it had to be here. e_e; They remained blissfully unaware of two young Tsumes with a love for the hunt (and for danger), however. The two lithe creatures crept from rock to rock, gliding through the air on perfectly silent wings, moving closer to their intended prey. The two Tsumes shared identical features, the only difference being that their colors were nearly flipped, with one having a darker back and the other with a darker underbelly. Their crimson eyes glittered in a silent delight.

(sorry it's so late, chao. T_T if you don't feel too inspired to rp anymore, you can just reply whenever inspiration strikes. n_n
also, brinkster doesn't work for me anymore, so i'll be setting up a new site at freewebs for the moment. for rp'ing purposes, the tsume i'm rp'ing t135f. :3)
In the snow, one was likely to find a certain female Tsume, painfully obvious against a white backdrop with her peculiarly dark coloration. She likes the mountains and the cold weather, and the chill is enough to ward away any sociable creatures. Today, it seems, she's not so lucky in her antisocial endeavors. Nestled in a makeshift tent of frost-covered boulders, she sits quietly, listening to the soft bleats of the peak's elk beasts. It's dark in her little den, but she can see the elk through the spaces between the rocks.
Her dog-like ears twitch, the purple tufts waving in a light, strangled breeze that manages to cut through her shelter. There were not too many calves about, so it would be difficult to bring one down, especially with her minute size. Her watch rewards her, though, but not quite with what she expects...
Two Tsumes, similar in coloring. In fact, they were a little similar to her own pigmentation... She blinks, drawing further into the reassuring confines of her temporary dwelling, stomach growling with hunger. Oh, there! She sees them. Two juicy, frollicking calves chasing one another in the outcropping's limited space. She only had one chance, as she did not possess wings to pursue these quick-footed creatures.
But...was it really worth it?
"Grrrlll...grr..." says her belly, and she looks down at it accusingly.
The Tsume whines softly to herself before scurrying out of her shelter, darting from rock to rock. She was going to get at least one calf before they scared the herd off. ;o;
Whining, broody little thing, isn't she? 9_9
