When the two males walk together, it's a study in differences. Though the Water is slightly taller, the Fire's confident aura makes him seem larger. The Water moves so smoothly, the Fire's movements seem absolutely jerky in comparison. The Water is a Warriour, born for physical combat, and the Fire is a mage, destined to fight as much as possible from the sidelines. And where a brook may babble, the Water made no sound whatsoever. Only the Fire would speak, and he did often to himself and to his companion.
The Fire was speaking now, but his low tones implied the words were for his own benefit and not for the gryvern who trailed silently behind him.
