Fire is considered one of the four basic elements of Tsume dragons, accompanied by Water, Air, and Earth. They are the most common types in the wild.
Fire Tsumes are linked closely with heat energy. Their powers are all fire-related. The most noticeable and obvious is the ability to breathe flame, which unlike the dragons of lore, few Tsumes have. Some fires have the ability to manipulate the flame they breathe, though it takes a huge amount of practice for them to be able to do this. Once the skill is mastered, however, they can control the heat of their flame, as well as shape it or direct it with an insane precision.
Appearance and Some Common Mutations
Appearance-wise, Fire Tsumes are medium sized. They tend to have short coats, usually in a shade of red (from dark to light), with orange or yellow markings. Interestingly enough, draconic wings are the most common for this type. The membrane of the wings are always a different color than the main body color and the marking color. For example, if the body is red and the markings are orange, then the membranes will be yellow.
Fire Tsumes always have horns. If they do not, it is considered a HUGE mutation.
A rare mutation that has been known to occur causes a Fire Tsume to have a blue and white coloration. These Tsumes generally have a colder flame than their hot-colored relatives.
