With effort, Rastko manhandled his voice back into its normal even tones. The last thing he needed was awkward questions from Natalya's young daughter about how he knew the pretty healer. "I... met her. Once, long ago. Your mother was a very talented healer. Is she well?"

Serce looked at him, finally looking into his eyes... Atleast for a moment before looking back down to the ground. "She is doing well..." She answered with a small amount of confidence coming back, wait... This was Rastko? She had heard about him! "I think she's mentioned you before." She looked at him then began to reach out to touch the spot he had the large cut that Natalya had treated awhile ago, pausing only momentarily to make sure it was alright. "She thought you handled yourself pretty well..."
There was an awkward moment as she pawed at the ground alittle bit, sighing. "I... Think I should probably tell you, not that it isn't obvious... But... My father was not a gryvern, and umm..." She just stopped talking and looked away. She... Was tempted to seduce him, but thought that he seemed a much better match for her mother, And she really did care about her mothers happiness more than her own.

Rastko tried not to show his surprised pleasure at hearing that Natalya had spoken of him. He wilted slightly, telling himself that of course the battle in question was a story one would pass on to future generations. His part in it? He'd managed to get himself half-mangled before the healer had put him to rights.
The antlered hunter tilted his head and studied the young mixed breed in front of him. She was terribly pretty, really, which conflicted confusingly with her obvious hesitance to draw attention to whatever genes she had inherited on her father's side, whatever her father was. It was bewildering to him how anyone as attractive as Serce would lack any confidence whatsoever.
He jumped slightly as she reached forward to touch the old scar. He loved that scar. It was a constant reminder that something had once happened to him. He had been a part of something dreadful and real and meaningful. She had given him that scar, or at least had left it on him. He knew the wound itself was not her fault in the least, but he liked to think of the scar as a token to remember her by.
He cleared his throat nervously. He felt slightly jumpy, thinking about Natalya and looking into the eyes of her daughter. A daughter clearly at ill ease with her mixed heritage.
"Many have a mother or father who is not gryvern," he ventured. "I well know a young nostiyer whose mother was a tsume."

She ran her finger along the scar lightly, her touch was so delicate and gentle it was almost hard to beleive she was really touching his side. She was fascinated by the scar, it was very neat and the texture was slightly different than the rest of his skin... She liked it, but decided she would rather not have any on herself... Although she did already have a marking on her that was much like a scar, although more permanent. The mark she held shown as a pitch black "4" She hated it.
She blushed alittle bit at being studied by the gryvern, her lack of confidence possibly coming from an extreme shyness or something. It amused her slightly when he jumped to the conclusion that she was insecure about her heritage, her speech was attempting to give him the hint that Natalya was still... Single. How could she break it to him without just saying it? Sometimes she wished people were... Simpler.
"My father was a tsume..." she glanced up at him, before sighing and looking back towards the water... Sort of, she had to keep an eye on his mouth to know what he was saying after all. "They... aren't together." she said with a loud sigh. After this was out of the way she seemed a bit more.. Confident... Atleast a little.

Rastko shivered slightly under her touch. Flustered, he backed away. He wasn't used to being touched like that, and especially wasn't used to having creatures of the young, female persuasion invade his personal space. He wasn't sure he disliked it exactly, but it certainly was unsettling.
He cleared his throat awkwardly. "A... A tsume? You said?" It was rather perplexing the attraction his kind apparently had to the draconic creatures. "I'm, ah, sorry to hear they aren't together anymore."
Which meant.... wait, was Natalya single?

She smiled as he back away, then shrunk back embarrassedly... She hadn't really meant to stroke his scar, that wasn't something you should do to someone you just met. She blushed a bit at this realization and continued to act.
It was almost amusing how badly he stumbled through their little interaction, but she couldn't help but feel somewhat sorry for him... She wanted to flirt with him so badly, was this what her father was like? She hadn't really met up with many gryvern before, always avoiding 'cute' boys and such out of fear of what may happen... If she had to deal with this urge so constantly she probably would have gone mad by now. "It's umm..." She looked around somewhat nervously "...Probably a good thing." she mumbled out before looking fully up and into his eyes for the first time since they met.
Her eyes seemed... So clear, and deep as if you could really get lost in them but just as she seemed to be gaining more confidence she looked away again, moving some pebbles around in a shy manner. She just couldn't say that Natalya needed someone like him. Not yet.

Clearing his throat again, he managed to regain a large part of his composure. There was something somewhat unnatural about how easily she rattled his nerves, something about the gleam in her eyes and the slow ripple of her muscles.
"I didn't mean to pry," he apologized. "It's really not my business."

Serce shook her head at his comments, smiling up at him meepishly. "I'd rather tell you... Than have you ask someone else." after saying that she managed to rise up somewhat, seeming to gain some confidince... How long it would last however was still up in the air. What she said was true, she'd truely hate it if he were to end up asking Natalya... Or one of those other prejudice Gryvern, she knew what they thought and said about here. Sure she was nearly deaf but she knew, they called her a bastard child, by-product of rape. She sighed but then continued, "You were not prying, I wanted to get it out of the way..."
She stood up, then stretched... Looking around the whole area for the first time in awhile... After a moment of that she got a slightly worried look on her and turned back to the antlered male. "I umm... Can't seem to remember which way is home." She quickly bowed to him. "I'm sorry I don't normally come this far out... Could you umm... Walk me home?" She asked as her face turned a brighter red than ever.

The hunter blinked. No one had ever asked him that before.
"Certainly," he said, with a semblance of his usual chivalrous aplomb. "Where is your home?"

Serce grinned at him and then looked around, well obviously she didn't know exactly what direction but... Hmm... "I live with Natalya still... In the caves at hawkings crest." she said with a small smile, tilting her head at the gryvern. "...You know where that is right?" she asked sounding a little hesitant... If he stayed there for very long after coming over from their home reality he'd probably know of some place near there atleast.

He studied her intently for a moment, tilting his head slightly.
"It's been some time since I've been in that direction," he said finally.
There was another pause, as though Rastko were trying to make up his mind about something. Finally, he jerked his head away from the falls. "This way."
He began walking, not waiting for her.

She seemed to stumble a bit when he jerked his head away and spoke, blast... What did he say? she guessed from his earlier statement about not being there in awhile that he was going to bring her there. "Umm... Thanks." She said politely as she hurried to run up beside him.
Again she seemed to never really take her eyes off of him, infact it seemed that she was always staring... At his mouth. There were no special traits on that feature of his, yet she seemed to be paying very close attention to it... Especially when he spoke only occasionally glancing at his eyes.

(( *deithlovesadores*
Goodness knows, it'd be too easy to have signs. <<;; However, most gryverns, Natalya included, live in a large cave complex in the Dor'shia Valley which is on the South-SouthEastern edge of the the main Crest grounds. <33 ))

"Over in the valley, right?" Rastko called over his shoulder. "Down in those southern caves, right?"
Since he was fairly certain he was correct, and since the young female didn't exactly seem to have a good grasp of direction, he wasn't sure he really was expecting an answer. Then again, with the way she easily put him on edge, perhaps it was better if his rhetorical question hung in the air.
