Astafy leaned down to very gently and carefully nuzzle Napoleon; she didn't want to accidentally send him into the river but it seemed they both needed a little comfort just then. Veselin was -always- this way, it was so frustrating! He was rude and mean and very put-offish. Her green eyes narrowed briefly in annoyance.
Oh, a brown fish... she rose slightly, crouching and easing her white forepaw over the water. With a sudden move, she scooped it out of the water and out onto the bank. "Veselin, this one's for you." She tried to leaven her tone.
"I'm not hungry."
Astafy's ears went back in real anger and she turned suddenly on the noctyier, "Eat now or by all that's good and right i will break your other three legs."
Veselin's ears and head wings went flat against his head, watching as the Light abruptly shoved claws through the fish, causing it to go limp. She dropped it in front of the Trance with a warning gaze.
He muttered under his breath, "I'm just going to throw it up later."
"I don't suggest it," Astafy growled threateningly again. Veselin said nothing and she stared at him until he lowered his head and began to eat. She stalked back to the river and Napoleon and sat down to start fishing again.

He tilted his head up to rub the top of it against her snout as she nuzzled him, giving a few soft contented chirps in return before crouching down as she snatched up the fish, ensuring that he was out of the way. When she was arguing with Veselin he just watched meepishly, he hated seeing people fight... He cooed when she returned then scootched closer to her.
Looking up he smiled a little bit. "Thanks for fishering for us." he said in an exceedingly cute manner before nuzzling her leg and going back to watching the water... It didn't take long before he spotted another edible fish and motioned in it's direction with his nose and chirped.

Astafy sighed, pleased that Napoleon seemed to be doing fine despite Veselin's attitude. She was glad he was here, because she wasn't entirely certain she could have controlled her temper fully without his cute little demeanour and antics to remind her that not everyone was as.... rude as the noctyier.
She turned at Napoleon's little hint and half-rose again, purple paw dipping in this time to bring out the fish. She gave a small smile; she enjoyed fishing a great deal and was glad to see that all of her practice was paying off. "That one is for you, Napoleon," she told the little tsume fondly.

When the fish flopped down onto the ground, he immediately pounced on the wriggling thing... only to get fwapped in the side of the head by its tail and knocked off again, redoubling his efforts he pounced and wrestled with it a little bit before finally managing to get it to stop struggling... Which might have been due to the fact it was out of the water.
After a couple of bites he grinned and looked up at her, a scale or two stuck to his face, giving her a small pleased chirp before digging back into the fish. he was pretty messy as he ate, but seemed extremely happy to have food.

At least -someone- was happy about their food. Astafy sighed and turned her bright eyes back to the water, waiting for another lurking fish to slip on by. Veselin gagged slightly behind her, and that caused the Light's tail to start flip-flopping angrily on the ground. She glanced pointedly over her shoulder, but it appeared less that he was trying to throw up the small amount he'd eaten and more that he was so unused to eating he wasn't very good at it anymore. She quickly turned her back on the sight, staring moodily at the water.
After several minutes, another fish lazily came by and she struck it out of the water, pouncing quickly to kill it. It didn't take her long to eat it, though and she was quickly back by the waterside. Of the three, she was probably the only one who wouldn't be filled up by a single fish.

Not too far away something else was also looking for food, although it had no real need to eat... It liked to pretend. after all, hunting was fun and most intellegent things avoided him like the plague nowadays. Not too surprising after the numerous incidents he was involved in... Even if most of the people brought it upon themselves. They just didn't know when to humour the crazy person... well, maybe there was more to it than that, but that was another story. He prowled onwards, until he heard the sound of some creatures nearby and picked up the odd scent of some gryverns... He had met a couple of those, they were kind of odd... Ok, well maybe HE hadn't met them, but the others had. the others... He could hold out for awhile longer against them. he moved closer, his metal armor strangely silent as he came closer to them... he heard someone catch a fish just as he approached, red eyes looking towards the bright figure near the water... Waiting for it to go back to fishing. He moved forward, planning on rushing up to the one at the water, but his hand landed on something that was not the right squishy-ness for the ground... and he looked down at the gryvern he had just stepped on... It was lucky he had yet to put much weight on that foot. metal was not light. Not so lucky as his claws suddenly tightened on the gryverns leg. (( www.geocities.com/thalron2002/Adopted/t27mad.gif )) Napoleon was oblivious to the danger, and still happily eating the fish. It took him awhile because he had a hard time working around the bones and such, and he didn't like eating the scales either so it was a chore to remove the skin for more flesh...

The pressure surprised the Trance and he turned his head to stare up at the large metal creature looming over him. And, it seemed, his presence had surprised the tsume. Well, surprise might have been too strong of a word, but then the metal bit into his only recently healed leg and he winced and made a noise of distinct discomfort.
A purple ear flicked back, but Astafy assumed the other gryvern was just having difficulty with his meal again. There was one! Her white paw dipped swiftly into the water with surprising speed, flinging out yet another fish.

The large metal tsume was surprised at how easily this 'thing' seemed pained by his grip, he hadn't even tried to injure it and it already was in discomfort... This could be fun. He moved his free hand up and put it on the side of the gryverns head, forcing it over onto its side, and against the ground. The right and left head gazing down at it intently... and Hungerily.
The center head was looking up, and remained focused on the fishing creature, it smirked as it saw her remain so oblivious to his presence... continuing to fish as if nothing had happened. Well, that would have to change. The grip on the gryverns arm tightened even more and he twisted a little bit... Nothing said hello better than a scream.
Napoleon had just finished removing a annoying patch of scales, ripping it off with one final tug that made him fall over backwards... as he rolled back up he noticed something... and that something was the large metal creature looking ready to eat Vaseline. He let out a loud alarmed shriek probably around the time Veselin would...

Veselin didn't fight the larger creature; he couldn't win, that much was obvious. The only ironic comfort he had was that he'd be a terrible meal. And then came the pain. His pain tolerance was already low; it had always been low though Sera blamed it on his refusal to eat right. It didn't matter either way, he could have almost handled the tightening, but adding in the twisting and he involuntarily gave a high-pitched yelp.
The double round of cries yanked Astafy around and her fish flopped away, escaping back into the river with only minor injuries. The Light Gryvern didn't notice, however as her attention was centered fully on the large metal creature.
"Let him go!" she snapped immediately. "Who are you?" With one paw she gestured for Napoleon to come to her.

He might have grinned at the yelp, but for all the metal it was impossible to tell. He didn't even have to look between the gryvern, the center head watched Astafy, while the other two seemed to be trying to decide where to bite first on the emaciated creature. It was all just so tempting... maybe he'd chew off his ears first, or remove the pads from his feet... such a hard decision.
"Maybe later." the center head responded, followed by the left head. "after I'm done..." his voice told her that after he was done there might not be much to let go of anyways. "I am?" his right head looked up then the center head seemed to smirk and replied. "Diriel." The claws holding the gryverns head down began to tighten and dig into its skin with their metal grip... Why'd he have to be evil AND indecisive? this was so annoying.
Napoleon ran over to astafy immediately and cowered behind one of her forelegs, peeking out from behind it in a rather timid manner... although it seemed like he recognized the metal tsume or something.

Golden eyes rolled up to stare at the metal creature in dismay, but they closed again as he whined at the pain. It was his lot in life to be the target of everyone, it seemed. He gave a mental sigh that couldn't be replicated aloud as he was still pinned down. Oh, yah, he was being pinned down. After the initial burst of terror, Veselin couldn't seem to sustain any fear.
Astafy recognized that there was something going on in the creature's head(s?!), but her main concern was to keep Napoleon, herself, and hopefully Veselin safe. .... But she had absolutely no idea how to do that.
"Let him go now, Diriel," she reiterated anxiously. "He's too weak to be worthwhile, ne?"

Diriel's right head moved very near the emaciated creatures neck, the tip of his metal snout brushing against the thin hide of the gryvern a few times... its jaws opening and closing slightly as he seemed to be looking for a nice place to bite. It did not take him very long to find. His teeth sank in near where the gryverns neck met with its shoulders, he did not bite in too deeply... but it was dangerously close to some rather vital arteries.
The other heads looked a bit smug and one watched his reaction, while the center one continued to watch astafy. "No. And if he's so weak... No point in keeping him around now is there?" his voice had an amused tone to it.
Napoleon whimpered as he watched, clinging to the back of astafy's foot harder... before leaning forward and barely murmuring a single word. "...Aluran?"
there was a distinct pause, and all three of the heads turned up to look at astafy... then slowly brought their gaze down to the little tsume. "Do not say that name." one of the heads nearly whispered... He did not want the other 'good' personalities waking up right now.

Veselin screamed and Astafy took an abortive step forward, stopping only because of Napoleon's presence. But she knew how dangerous that bite was. Even though it missed the vital areas; Veselin couldn't afford to lose blood.
"Who is Aluran?" Astafy asked nearly desperate. She couldn't heal death and taking a few blows herself would be worth it to get the creature off of the noctyier. But Napoleon! Differnt parts of her mind were clamouring at her, and she was uncertain of which to follow though uncertainity might see them all dead. She had to figure out how to distract more than one head or take enough interest (she assumed) that all three would follow her instead.

The metal tsumes body shivered just once when she said the name again, but then he growled in anger and a glow grew within his metallic jaws. Before he had been idly injuring Veselin out of spite, but now he seemed to be seething with hatred. "I told you not to say His... my... that name.." the head that had bitten the emaciated gryvern looked back down and flames flowed out of his jaws... almost seeming to lick over the wound, searing the flesh for a moment or two. It was... painful to say the least, but it did stop the bleeding. "Mmm... Anyone else want some fried gryvern? It's still somewhat rare at the moment." he paused and the other secondary head, still brimming with fire looked down. "That could change..." There was an odd hint of frustration in his voice, like something was happening he didn't really have control over... and he was trying to speed things up before... something.
The truth was that 'aluran' was beginning to wake up again, and he knew that if they saw what he was doing they'd take over again and he'd be shunted off somewhere in their minds to sulk again... and if that happened he was really going to make someone hurt first.
Napoleon ducked back a bit further against astafy's leg and looked around hoping to see some way of easy escape other than the river which was much deeper than he was tall. Not that he wanted to leave Vaseline there... "Aluran is his good personalities.." he whispered up to Astafy.

Veselin's voice cracked in the scream, but, hey, at least the wound was cauterized now. Much more pain and the noctyier was likely to faint.
"We have to wake him up," the Light said firmly. "Napoleon, when I say so, run to the trees and hide, alright?" Not that she would give the little tsume a chance to argue. She swallowed hard, trying to not think about wot she was about to do. Really, she was largely a pacifist. Mostly because she simply didn't care to fight. "Now!" She hissed abruptly and threw herself towards the metal tsume and shooting her one aggressive attack. Though the light might not do anything but flash in the creature's eyes, despite it's ability to physically injure things, not only was Astafy's attacks weak, but Diriel was covered in armour.
