Milovan's ears went back uncertainly; where exactly had she gotten the idea that he /enjoyed/ being led around like a dog and taken into life-threatening situations? He certainly hadn't been giggling like a madman this whole time!
His tail flicked to one side, sending the feather at the end dancing slightly. He would rather discuss the sidekick thing than the powers issue. "I don't know," he finally answered reluctantly. "My mother is a healer, though. My sister. . ." he wasn't really certain how to explain her. "She has some healing abilities too." His voice suggested he wasn't really comfortable on that topic.

Where Rei got her ideas was pretty much anyone's guess, but it was obvious that she liked Milovan somewhat. Perhaps she was just making things up to justify dragging him around everywhere, it's not like she actually listened to what was going on anyways.
"You should find out!" She giggled and flicked her tail as she thought about things... She wasn't really sure about her own powers either, Jaradka was a chaos and their powers... Were... Unpredictable to say the least. And she'd never managed to get Casimir to teach her anything yet. "Maybe you have healing powers! That'd be awesome for a side kick cause I get hurt a lot." she nodded, then scratched her chin as she kept going towards the river.

Somehow. . . a high casualty rate wasn't the tiniest bit surprising. He knew, however, about how Serce's abilities worked and that made him exceedingly leery of trying his own. And he certainly didn't want to find out if they were tied into the Lust side of his heritage.
So, instead of answering her about that-- and, indeed, hoping rather desperately that it would slip her mind-- the hybrid changed the subject.
"I still don't know your name," he said instead, hoping they were near the water. He could still smell the freshness of the female's wound and he wouldn't doubt that there were others about who could as well.

The only good thing about her mentality seemed to be her ability to instantly and almost absolutely forget about things. And he had chosen one of the easiest topics to get her completely side tracked. Puffing up she turned to face him directly "I'm Kletterei the great warrior! My friends call me Rei though! Isn't my name awesome?!" She bounced around him before tugging the leash to try and get him to hurry up.
If one could hear over the giggling and such that Rei kept emitting at random points the sound of running water was beginning to become apparent. Probably a waterfall or something like that was nearby, either that or rapids.
"What's your name!? Is it uh... uh... uhmmmm... Browny?" it was good to see that her imagination worked... Maybe it was all just reserved for the making up of adventures.

Because of her introduction, he felt almost obligated to call her 'Kletterei', but he wasn't entirely certain he could pronounce that quickly. He stumbled a bit as she tugged him along yet again. His ears perked up as he thought he caught the sound of water, but she cut into his analyzing yet again.
He pulled his head up regally and announced, "My name is not Browny." Who would name their child that? Just that quickly, however, all of his hostility, vague as it had initially been, was gone. "My name is Milovan."

"That's a way better name than Browny." she said with a definite nod, immediately afterwards she broke out into giggles. She nosed at him then ran ahead and jumped up on a boulder, this was the only time thus far he'd heard her make a not so brave squeak as she wobbled, then barely managed to jump back down on this side of the rock.
After she composed herself again she picked up the leash and began to lead him in a different direction. "Me-low-van~ Milovan~ Milo~" she struck up a random tune as she tested out his name. It seemed like she liked it atleast.

She darted off suddenly and he squinted trying to see what exactly she was doing, but, of course, all he really saw was a red blob running to a great grey blob and then some moving about. He was surprised by the squeak, but she was just as quickly back and pulling the leash yet another way. And he'd thought for a moment that they'd actually managed to reach their destination. Silly him.
The male's ears went back at this strange 'song' and he kept from wincing only through force of will. "Are we almost there?" he asked, trying to cut off the tune. At least she wouldn't insist on calling him Browny or something, but he still didn't like his name being flaunted about like that.

The truth was that they had reached their destination, and were merely about 25ft up from it... While she might've jumped right off if she thought there was someone in distress at the bottom, she didn't feel right about dragging a blind person over the edge of a cliff and down into a pool with who knows how strong of a current. "Almost! We just gotta find where the cliff ends!" she told him happily, her singing changing into a wordless hum of what was probably once a song.
The sound of water was getting quieter, but it was changing into a more steady babbling of a brook rather than churning waters of the waterfall or rapids. Which was a good sign... "Soo... How did you get out here if you're blind?"

Well, at least they weren't going to dive into a waterfall or something. He hadn't realized that was a fear until she said they were heading toward where the cliff ended. Who knew what else he needed to be afraid of with Rei around! Hopefully by the time she found a good way down they'd be at a calm part of the river. At least it was sounding that way so far.
Milovan turned his attention from trying to see around them back to the female at her question. "Very carefully," he answered dryly. It had been one slow step at a time, but at least there was a portal to bring him here originally.

Rei didn't actually do too much to risk her neck when there wasn't the promise of adventure as a result. Or fame and glory. Either would be a suitable reward for utterly reckless activities, another small bit of luck for Milovan is that she rarely dragged other people directly into it. She'd probably let him watch her get in trouble.
"That must be difficult, I get lost all the time! and I'm not even blind!" she hummed out a few more words, then darted ahead again to check for a path. "...I think there's a path in here."

Somehow, Rei managed to never make him feel better about their 'adventuring' together. The hybrid gave a low sigh, and then she was off again before he could say anything, which is just as well because he wouldn't have said anything anyway. It didn't seem prudent.
He kept following after her, tripping over a root on his way towards the hopeful path. He was squinting again as he tried to figure out where in the greenery she had gone before stumbling upon the same path-signs that she'd spotted. He dropped his head to inspect the ground, pausing to make certain he wouldn't slip.

Rei actually came back to Milovan to help him get along the trail... It was kinda tight, with many branches and rocks to get through. She was actually pretty good at guiding him though, when she put her mind to it. She was actually good at most things that she really focused on- the unfortunate thing being that it was nearly impossible to force her to focus on anything she wasn't already set on.
"Do you know how to swim? I love swimming! once I swam five miles without stopping! My arms were so stiff afterwards my mom had to carry me though..." She was so focused on helping him get through the brush and such, that she didn't notice the river until a rear foot splashed into it, and she gave a little surprised squeak... Hopping forward and bumping into him.

It was a surprisingly huge relief, actually, to have her dedicated attention to helping him slip through and around the many obstacles on the way down to the water. The ear nearest her tilted upwards as she chattered on. When she squeaked-- a second time!-- he quickly put out a hand to help steady her.
As soon as she seemed to be well on her feet, his fingers caressed along her shoulder and he angled his head carefully to look around her and see if there was something behind her. He only caught the glinting reflection of water, however. "Are you all right?" That seemed to be one of the first questions that came to mind in regards to the crazy young mix.

Yet again when his hand was thus outstretched, she reached over and shook it... Then immediately broke into a fit of giggles. "Of course I'm fine!" she turned around to examine the water... Yep the river was here here alright, it was even pretty calm! Now... Why were they here again?
"Ok, found the river um... You wanted a bath? You've got some blood on you."

Milovan shook his head in exasperation and used her hand to encourage her to get into the water. "We're going to clean out your wounds and see if we can staunch the bleeding and keep it from getting infected," he chided her lightly. "Get in and let the water run over them; i'm going to find some moss."
He turned around carefully, hoping she would listen and do as he said as he began to lean very close to the rocks and underbrush near the water's edge looking for moss.
